The State Director National Orientation Agency (NOA) Abia State Directorate Mrs Regina Iroha, has charged the National Youth Service Corps, NYSC corps members to imbibe the virtues of the national core values of discipline, honesty, integrity, dignity of labour,self reliance, religious tolerance, social justice and patriotism.
Iroha, who was at the NYSC Orientation Camp in Umunna Bende Local Government Area where she presented a paper on Value Re-orientation to the 2024 batch B stream 1 corps members who are on orientation course, also urged them to see the core values as the only solution to the desired change that is needed in our country.
The NOA Director said the citizens , visitors and residents in Nigeria should respect national symbols like the National Anthem and pledge, the National Flag and the Naira. She reiterated that this National Symbols are for National integration and development.
Mrs Iroha who was represented at the occasion by an Assistant Director and Head of Public Relations in the Agency, Mr Goddy Onwuchekwa, encouraged the corps members to see the orientation programme as a means of preparing the corps members for the task of nation building, addressing attitude, mindset and practices that will promote and inculcate values and principles that will promote individuals character traits needed to develop our country.
