The President General of Igbo Vanguard Group, IVG Engr. Dr. James Nnadozie Uchegbuo, has observed that harlotry and prostitution has drastically reduced in Abia State as a result of the prompt payment of salaries to the state workforce.

Uchegbuo, who said this, while rating the one year administration of Governor Alex Otti, recalled that before the coming of Otti’s administration, some women in the state civil service turned to sex work for the first time, while others who have managed to leave it behind also returned to the act in order to pay their bills, because of the epileptic nature of salary payments.

Uchegbuo, who is also the Secretary of Oboro Council of President Generals, Ikwuano L.G.A, of Abia state, said that the one year in office of the present administration in the state calls for massive celebration, because the governor has performed creditably well.

He equally observed that touting and unnecessary harassment which was the order of the day in the state has been reduced to its barest minimum.

” The aesthetic value of Umuahia, Abia State capital is improving on daily basis. People are wondering where the fund for these projects are coming from. While I will advice Abians to pray and be patient with the governor”.

He seized up the opportunity to eulogize the sterling performance of the Mayor of Ikwuano Council area, Mr. Osinachi Nwaka, observing that the Local Government Headquarters which once looked like a poultry farm has been turned into a haven.
