THE SPEECH DELIVERED BY EZE-ELECT, HIGH PRINCE UGOCHINYERENWA, AMADIOHA NSIRIMO, DR. CHARLES AMANZE, ON THE OCCASION OF A WORLD PRESS CONFERENCE HELD AT HIS PALACE AT UMUNELU NSIRIMO AMAISE ON MAY, 30TH 2024.

Good morning His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Abia State, Dr. Alex Otti (OFR), The mayor Umuahia South, Your Excellencies, Members of the Press and Media, The Royal Council, Ladies and gentlemen.

Thank you very much for attending this World Press Conference on the Development of Security observations and preliminary assessment of the 25th and 27th of March Processes of Eze-elect proclamation of Umuahia South Local Government Area for NSIRIMO AMAISE Autonomous Community. In my person, High Prince Dr. Charles Chukwuemeka Amanze PHD.

INTRODUCTION:

The community environment of Nsirimo for this social cultural governance programme of Eze elect has been difficult with cases of social right violation and intimidation by the so called Elite or in other words, Abroadians, including attacks from Racial dominance, ethnic difference and Ratio positions of who get what, among the circle called the shareholders with the Abroadian of NSIRIMO AMAISE Autonomous Community. At this time, the community faces critical challenges that threaten the very fabric of our existence, at a time Nsirimo battle with economic hardship that leaves many household in pains, at a time the people in some parts of the community cannot go to their farms or go to sleep with their eyes closed, they need some form of reassurance from their leader the king to keep hope alive. They need to see concrete actions taken by those they have entrusted with power, but they were met with defeat of their expectations.

“While we as citizens reserve our rights to seek redress against all forms of defamatory to our Cultural Heritage, I came in eight years ago to see that we safeguard the right of every citizen. However, we observed being obstructed by the Chiefs and their collaborators including being denied access apparently by Enacting Laws or Initiatives that compromises transparency and trust in the process of selection and Installations of the Eze elects. Selection among the aspiring candidates were supposed to be occasion of peaceful participation and process where citizens are able to freely chooses by constitutional guide who would represent them. It is deeply troubling and regrettable to have such men handle the affairs and those responsible should be held accountable that after eight years we have not been able to install the pride of our Cultural Heritage in the community; even when there is a Constitutional Procedure for the accreditations of Aspiring Candidates for Significant Improvement, yet it was very purely handled or addressed, such incidents, limits scrutiny and therefore transparency of the process, which competitively overrun freedom to campaign. However, there was misuse of incumbency, inclusion of which prevented a level playing field in the eight years; leading up to the Local Institutions being used to prevent citizens the opportunity to directly compare candidates, this analysis describes as Partisan Taunting by the Abroadian, the Chiefs/Village heads and the PG’s of NSIRIMO AMAISE Autonomous Community, even up till this moment of my addressing the press, they are still on the Partisan Taunting Behaviors.

Permit me to briefly state the following for the purpose of setting the records straights: It is with joy that I welcome you to my palace for this World Press Conference with the main purpose of sharing our updates with you. This is about the fourth time we are meeting since May 29th, 2021 when I issued a proclamation following my enthronement as the High Prince Ugochinyerenwa and Amadioha Nsirimo.

That day I announced to you that I have received a divine mandate to build the brightest nation on earth, starting with my immediate community of Nsirimo. This is an assignment I have committed myself to its executions by offering a leadership, not just of the head, but more of the heart. Within this period, my team and I have made significant strides in addressing our community’s challenges. We have launched initiatives to boost economic growth, improve infrastructure, and support local business and our Elders support systems. We have also taken concrete steps to address environmental concerns, implementing sustainable practices in governance and encouraging businesses to do the same. Our goal is to preserve our natural resources for future generations to foster unity and understanding; we have established programmes for inter-community dialogue, cultural exchange, and conflict resolutions. We’re committed to building bridges and promoting common understanding to achieve our goals of unity and progress.

Our Advisory Council ensures diverse perspectives are represented and we will drive the process of our leadership with a vowed commitment to transparency, accountability and all inclusion.

I am happy that our plans have found rhythms in the great amazing developmental efforts of our dynamic Governor, Dr. Alex Otti, OFR, I commend the Governor for maintaining during his first year in office a lazar focus on all sectors from massive building of roads infrastructure to revamping the health sectors, reflecting and refocusing of the Education Sector to meet the needs of the 21st Century, prioritization of worker’s welfare, driving grassroots sports development and harnessing the talents of the youths and even children, rejigging the State Security apparatchiks to ensure that Abians go to sleep with their two eyes closed and that investments are protected. His energetic forays into trade, commerce and investment have seen many countries and investors indicating their interest to come to Abia, not forgetting his zeal to lift the women folks and the down trodden.

These efforts by the Dr. Alex Otti – led administration have resulted in the enviable, cohesive transformation of Abia as the fastest growing state in the federation under the present dispensation.

Governor Alex Otti, has no doubt raised the bar of development in Abia and we pray to God Almighty to sustain him and enable him to realize his vision of a New Abia. (Not forgetting the Cultural Heritage and Institutions)

I hereby passionately appeal to Abians of all Walks of Life to support our performing Governor to succeed.

My dear people of NSIRIMO AMAISE Autonomous Communtiy.

I stand before you today humbled and honored to have been proclaimed your King-elect (Eze-elect)! I want to express my gratitude to the group that has placed their trust in me and presented me to the Local Government as their candidate.

As the Chief Security Officer of the Community; the Eze-elect, however, I am aware that not everyone in our community shares the same opinion, I want to assure those of you who have not yet presented their candidate that I hear your voices and acknowledge your concerns, I urge you to continue the democratic process and present your own candidate if they qualify the process, as it is your right and as well theirs to do so.

Please note that you have not violated any law to choose your candidate nor as citizens presenting their candidates to the Local Government. Do not subject yourself to the President General, Ambrose Nwagboso and Ifeanyi Lekwauwa, Augustine Ukanwoko with their collaborators, the village heads intimidating you to pay a form of ransom or fine because you presented your candidate that is Partisan Taunting at the light of Illiteracy. I will tolerate them with patience to see that they redress their steps before invoking the Law upon them. These acts of ostracization pronunciation are not only misleading but also a total cross violation of your human rights punishable by Law.

Having this in mind, let us remember that our community’s strength lies in our diversity and our ability to engage in constructive dialogue, I pledge to work tirelessly to unite our community and ensure that every voice is heard. I will work to see that the issue of misuse of office is addressed through the appropriate channels, I ask for your patience.

Together, let us build a brighter future for ourselves and for the generations yet unborn that will come.

Thank you for your attention, together we’ll build a brighter future for our community. I’m committed to regular updates and open communication. Let’s work together to address our challenges and create a better tomorrow.

Signed: High Prince Ugochinyerenwa
