As part of activities to mark this year’s Children’s Day celebration, The Straight Child Foundation, TSCF will on Saturday June 1st 2024 organize a funfair to celebrate the day with children with special needs in Umuahia, Abia State.
In a release made available to newsmen, the founder of the Organization, Dr. Mrs. Peace Amaraegbulam, stated that the event which will take place at Ojukwu Bunker, Afaraukwu-Ibeku will feature a number of games, other activities at the event and also prizes won.
Amaraegbulam, who pointed out that the society would remain incomplete without children living with disability, called for more support in the application of digital technologies for the empowerment of children with disabilities, as well as capacity building for their teachers.
The medical expert who maintained that TSCF would continue to promote inclusiveness, also reassured that the Foundation would continue touching lives and putting a smile on the faces of the special children.
She noted that every child matters and deserves equal right to access the world.
