Umuahia Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture, UCCIMA has lauded the appointment of Abia born Chief Henry Ikechukwu Ikoh, as the Chairman of the Board of Federal Polytechnic, Nekede, Owerri, Imo State.

In a heartfelt congratulatory message to Chief Henry Ikoh on his appointment, made available to our correspondent through WhatsApp, the UCCIMA President Chief Chidi Nkem Aruoma, described the new position as a testament to Chief Ikoh’s talent and leadership abilities.

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu had recently constituted the governing councils for 111 federal universities, polytechnics, and colleges of education.

The former Minister of Science and Technology (State) Chief Henry Ikechukwu Ikoh from Ahuwa-Oboro autonomous community Oboro clan in Ikwuano Local Government Area of Abia State; the former Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Attahiru Jega; two prominent Nigerian lawyers and Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Wole Olanipekun and Yusuf Alli; former Executive Secretary of the National Universities Commission (NUC), Peter Okebukola, and labour activist, Issa Aremu, are among the individuals appointed to lead the councils of various academic institutions.

Chief Aruoma who also described the appointment as a testament to his exceptional dedication and hard work, pointed out that it is not only a well-deserved recognition but a reflection of his exemplary track record and dedication to excellence.

“This new leadership role of Chief Henry Ikechukwu Ikoh is a testament to his sterling qualities, remarkable leadership, dedication, and unwavering commitment to the advancement of science and technology and also education in Nigeria”, Aruoma further stated.

The UCCIMA boss who prayed God to give Ikoh the divine grace, wisdom and knowledge to sail through in his new responsibility of serving the nation, expressed confidence that he will navigate the challenges that comes with the new office.
