The King of Ama’ba autonomous community Oboro clan in Ikwuano Local Government Area of Abia State, HRM King O’tuwa 1st has passionately called on the state government and security agencies in the state to step up all efforts to urgently rescue the three kids of same parents, who got missing recently in his community.

It was gathered that on Friday, May 10, 2024 a motorcyclist absconded with the three children while conveying them home from school at Ama’ba Ime Oboro community in the Ikwuano Local Government Area of Abia State 

The names of the children as gathered are Gideon Osinachi, 8 years old (in primary two), Divine Osinachi, 6 years old (in nursery three), and 4-year-old Israel Osinachi (in nursery one).

Sources have it that members of the community have gone to the commercial cyclists association in the community to find out about the cyclists involved but were told that they have no members matching the description that the grandmother offered.

In a release made available to our correspondent, King O’tuwa 1st stated that the heart of the community is not only bleeding following the ugly incident but is also highly devastated and emotionally handicapped.

He harped on the urgent need for more efforts to be intensified to ensure that the whereabouts of these three innocent children are known, for them to be urgently be reunited with their parents and Amaoba community.

King O’tuwa 1st who also stressed the need for the community and its neighbours to be more vigilant, also advised parents and guardians not to entrust their children to strangers, as such practice could expose‎ them to different forms of rights abuses.

Furthermore, the King appealed to vigilante groups, hunters and others who are into surveillance and security services to join with the government and other security agencies to intensify effort towards ensuring that the children are rescued safe and the culprit is brought to book and punished in accordance with the law.

Meanwhile, the Abia State Police command has said that they are hunting for the motorcyclist who took away the three siblings in the Ama’ba Ime Oboro community in the Ikwuano Local Government Area of Abia State on Friday, May 10, 2024.

The Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Maureen Chinaka, who confirmed the incident, said, “The matter was reported at the police divisional headquarters covering that area, and an investigation is ongoing”.
