A memorial service has been held for Mrs Angela Ogbonna, wife of Mr. Anselam Ogbonna, BIM-MASSOB State Information Leader Abia State, who was buried in her husband’s compound in Umuifem-Avutu in Obowo L.G.A, of Imo State.

In his injunction during the consecration of the grave, shortly after service at St. Jude’s Catholic church, Umuifem na Ogwume Avutu, Obowo, Okigwe diocese, the Parish priest, Rev. Fr. Jude Kingsley Maduka, enjoined the widower, Mr. Anselam Ogbonna and the entire mourners to have hope in the resurrection of Christ Jesus, who died for the sins of the world and rose again.

He reminded them that Jesus Christ is the resurrection and life and He will rise the deceased and other believers up on the last day, hence the need not to grieve like those without hope.

The priest enjoined those gathered to always get prepared and live a Christlike lifestyles in order to be remembered when the journey of life is over.

Responding, Mr. Anselam Ogbonna, BIM-MASSOB State Information Leader Abia State, who appreciated the solidarity he received from the Church, friends and well-wishers and his community, recounted his journey with his deceased wife .

“Yes, we had a divine union but death has separated us. I will grieve no more, because I solely rely on God, who is my consolation, but also I am human, I will keep on remembering her”, Ogbonna said.

He appreciated his in-laws for the efforts they put in place while his wife battled with illness, which she couldn’t survive.
