In line with it’s mission of touching and affecting the lives of the Sickle Cell Warriors with a Positive Mindset, The Sickler’s Survivors Forum, TSSF has embarked on an Awareness Campaign Program in Abia State schools tagged “Operation Know Your Genotype and Blood Group”.

Schools visited include: Ibeku High School; Umuahia,; Holy Rosary Girls Secondary School, Umuahia; Living Word Magnet Secondary School, Umuahia; Netlinks Academy;  Rehoboth Secondary School; Royal Vessel; The Kings Maker international School; Amuzukwu Girl’s Secondary School, Umuahia; Jesus Disciples Secondary School; and Marigold Secondary School.

Speaking during the sensitization visits, the TSSF founder, Amb. Victoria Akujuobi, described sickle cell warriors as “Special Beings”, who needs love, care, listening ear, support and attention, hence the need to collectively join hands to stop all forms of stigmatization and discrimination against them in the society. 

She said that The Sickler’s Survivors Forum (TSSF) believe in turning the health issues of warriors into believing a possibility of a good health through the power of their mind. 

“We have started our Campaign from Schools to Churches. We will also have a program captioned Operation Celebrate the Sickle Cell Warriors. This program is a monthly program that will be coming up every last Sunday of the month by 2pm at Holy Ghost Chapel International. No.28 Afara Street off St. Finbarr’s Road, Umuahia, Abia State”, Miss Akujuobi also disclosed.
