To enhance the physical and mental health of staff of Abia State judiciary, the Chief Judge Hon Justice Lilian Abai recently initiated a road walk, which saw the workers participated en masse.
Speaking shortly after the exercise, according to a release made available to our correspondent on behalf of the Director of Information, High Court by Mrs Okechukwu Chioma from the Information Unit, Hon Justice Abai, announced that the exercise would be held on monthly basis.

She commended the top management and staff of the state judiciary for their massive turn out for the road walk and thanked God that the exercise recorded a huge success.
In his impression the President Customary Court of Appeal, Justice Okey Nwamuo described the innovation as worthwhile and called on all staff and personnel of the judiciary who could not make it to ensure they turn out in subsequent editions.
Also speaking the Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Chief Ikechukwu Uwanna who described the exercise as very interesting, advised other arms of government to adopt same.
Also in their respective speeches, Some of the staff including the Deputu Chief Registrar protocol, Mrs Uzoaru Onuoha; the Director of finance, Mrs Chimuanya Ajuzieogu; and the Chairman Staff Welfare Association, Mrs Herbert Obioma, described the exercise as the first of its kind in the history of judiciary, and commended the Chief Judge for not discriminating among the staff over the exercise.
Equally, they prayed God to continue to inspire her.
In a brief remark, the Ag Chief Registrar High Court of Justice, Umuahia, Mrs Ngori Anagha Nwoke appreciated the staff for their impressive turn out and noted that the exercise has ignited special Joy and unity in their heart.
Members of the Bench, Bar and Staff of the Judiciary as well as Security Agencies also participated.
