As Nigeria joined the rest of the countries across the globe to observe the February 22, World Thinking Day, a female entrepreneur and motivational speaker, Mrs Chinwe Ewurum has called on government and critical stakeholders to collective inspire mindset of resilience, innovation, and empowerment among the young girls.

Every year on February 22nd Girl Scouts from across the globe participate in World Thinking Day. These girls gather together to discuss issues that affect young women.

The theme of this year’s World Thinking Day is – Our World, Our Thriving Future. This focuses on creating a world that is inclusive and replete with equal opportunities for every girl to thrive and succeed.

Interacting with our correspondent through WhatsApp chat, Mrs Ewurum, also harped on the need to celebrate the power of thoughts, dreams, and the incredible potential within the womenfolk, reasoning that it would further spur the girl child to aspire to be an enterprising entrepreneur in the near future.

Her words, “In a world where ideas shape destinies, let us encourage one another to dream fearlessly, to think beyond boundaries, and to turn challenges into stepping stones. Today, we honour the diversity of thoughts that fuel progress and cultivate a future where every voice, regardless of gender, is a catalyst for positive change”.

Mrs Ewurum, who further enjoined the young women to embrace the power of their ideas, maintained that they have the capacity to transcend limitations and pave the way for a more inclusive, enlightened world.

The history of the Girl Scouts dates all the way back to 1912.

Today, Girl Scouts focus on four areas that form the foundation of their leadership experience. These areas include Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM), Outdoors, Life Skills, and Entrepreneurship.
