To help cushion the effect of economic downturn ravaging Nigeria and the global village, a philanthropist and frontline politician in Abia State, Dr. Chima Desmond Anyasọ, weekend, shared some food items and cash gifts to his kingsmen.
Speaking in his Ahuọma Anyasọ Villa, Onu Igbere in Bende L.G.A of Abia State, during the event tagged “A unique fellowship”, which was aimed at providing support and encouragement to his people at this challenging period, Anyaso (Ofu Ji Ndigbo) stressed the need to lend “a helping hand to the needy around us”.
He emphasized the need for everyone to give as much as they can afford in this hard time, as it is essential to be a shoulder for someone to lean on in times of need.
Dr. Anyasọ urged everyone to reflect soberly about the current situation in the country, especially those who are privileged with earthly riches.

He also encouraged them to check on our friends who may be going through untold hardship without anyone to share their pains with.
Appreciating the benefactor respectively, all the Chairmen of the autonomous communities, expressed their gratitude for the support and encouragement given to them.
They lauded Anyaso for demonstrating his commitment towards the welfare of his kinsmen by organizing the unique fellowship.
According to them, Dr. Anyasọ’s commitment towards the welfare of his people is a testament to his love and care for his community.
Equally they passionately called on the well-to-do in Igbere to join hands with Anyaso in making a positive impact in the lives of the poor and indigent persons living in the community.
The event which was well received by the kinsmen of Dr. Anyasọ, saw benefactor distribute cash gifts and other items to the entire 13 autonomous community in Igbere.
