The Chief of Chaplains, Nigeria Defence College Chaplain, Gen. Kachi Daniels, has said that with the recent happenings in the country, that it is clear that Nigeria need chaplains now more than ever in every establishment in the nation.
Speaking during the thanksgiving and induction of Chapl. Aremu Olugbenga (COMD) and installation of Abia 2 command at Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries regional headquarters, Amuzukwu, Umuahia, Abia State, Gen. Daniels who x-rayed the state of the nation, noted that Nigeria needs more chaplains to foster peace in the country.

According to him, chaplaincy is a profession beyond religion that provides emotional comfort, spiritual support and guidance for those who need them to overcome certain challenges.
His words, “A chaplain is highly disciplined. For one to be certified okay as a chaplain, he or she must be tried, tested and come out fit and sound”.
Gen. Daniels who enjoined christians not to disclose any perceived lapses among them to the unbelievers, maintained that the gospel of Christ must be preached and the church of must move forward no matter the challenges faced in the country.
The Chief of chaplains, while congratulating the newly installed Chapl. Olugbenga, tasked him to be accessible to everyone, do his work diligently and be exemplary in words and deeds and also spread the gospel through his lifestyle even before he preach the gospel.
Speaking shortly after the installation, Chapl. Aremu Olugbenga (COMD) observed that being a Chaplain in this present society demands a lot but assured that he would continue to maintain his stand and always do the right thing in agreement with the rules and regulations guiding the Nigeria Defence College Chaplain.
The immediate past deputy chairman of Abia State Traditional Rulers Council, HRM Eze Godfrey Onwuka among other dignitaries attended the event.
