A former chairman of Umuahia North traditional rulers council and the traditional ruler of Oriendu autonomous community Ohuhu clan in Abia State, HRM Eze Philip Ajomiwe has urged leaders in the community to shun every act of corruption and embrace integrity and uprightness in all their activities.

Speaking in his palace shortly after he inaugurated the new village head and chairman of Mbara Ama, Umuezeoma village of the community, Eze Ajomiwe, who is also an agriculturist and a clergyman, maintained that the future of any community depended on the type of leaders it had at all levels from the village, clan, autonomous community and local government levels.
He also urged the new leaders in Mbara Ama, Umuezeoma village to shun every act of corruption and embrace integrity and uprightness in all their activities.
Eze Ajomiwe,who tasked them on being the “Right Leader”, advised the new leaders not to fight with those who selected them but to lead by example.
“Shun corruption and its practices. Do not handle criminal cases but notify the King’s cabinet of such cases for onward notification of the matter to the appropriate quarters. Selflessly work for the good of your village, having also the progress of Oriendu autonomous community at heart.
“Remember that your tenure last for only four years and your village can reselect you, if you perform optimally. Your appointment would be revoked, if misbehave or you go contrary to the constitution of Oriendu autonomous Community. So work closely together”, Eze Ajomiwe tasked the new leaders of Mbara Ama Umuezeoma village.

Responding respectively shortly after they received their Certificate of Appointments, the Mbara Ama Umuezeoma village head, Mr. Chibuzo Anthony Egbugara and the village chairman, Mr. Ukanwa Prince Amaechi appreciated God and their village for nominating them for the positions and promised to work in harmony for the best interest of the community.
