2023 S/E Presidency Agenda: IWU Join Hands With IVG

A sociocultural organization, Igbo World Union, IWU has entered into partnership with Igbo Vanguard Group, IVG in a positive step to propagate and promote the call for year 2023 Nigerian President of Igbo extraction.


Speaking at the Ikiri Agu Ndigbo palace in Umuajata-Olokoro, Umuahia South L.G.A, of Abia State, when a delegation of IVG paid a courtesy visit to him, the Gburugburu Ndi Igbo Dum and President General of IWU, His Imperial Majesty, Amb. Mishak Nnanta KJW KSM JP maintained that 2023 presidential seat should be exclusively reserved for the most qualified candidate from the Southeast region, whose sole aim would be to unite the country and restore the status of Nigeria as the giant of Africa.

He also passionately reminded President Muhammadu Buhari of his words that he will help the Igbos occupy the nation’s number one seat in 2023 when the Union visit him.


Nnanta who is the Southeast geopolitical zone patron of Police Community Relations Committee, PCRC and a National patron of Vigilante Group of Nigeria further called on Southeast Governors to take the issue of security in the region seriously as the economy of the Southeast has almost gone to comatose.

Lending his voice, the President General of Igbo Vanguard Group, Engr. Nnadozie Uchegbuo said IVG resolved to join hands together with IWU in order to fight for the liberation of Igbo man and to defend the dignity, cultural and sociopolitical rights of the Igbos in every sphere of the country and diaspora.


He suggested that every other political zones in the Southwest, Northeast, North Central and Southsouth should sympathize the Igbos with support for the sake of democracy, equity and National unity.
“While we agreed to work together for the greater good of all Igbos, we pray that every Igbo man should be an ambassador of the Igbo nation, being hardworking and pursuing legitimate businesses”, Uchegbuo said.
Meanwhile the Igbo Vanguard Group has given the President General of Igbo World Union, Sir Mishak Nnanta the “Igbo Vanguard Award”, in recognition of his contributions towards unifying the Igbos both at home and diaspora.


Also speaking, the Zonal Commandant of International Institute of Pastorial Education and Chaplaincy Abia State zone 2 command, Ralph Ulonna Ezeigbo, said they honoured Nnanta with the first Royal father award in recognition and appreciation of his untiring efforts towards the unity of Ndi Igbo Dum and his love for the chaplain, chaplaincy ministry and Church of God.


Also, the Abia State chapter of Security and Forensic Studies Nigeria led by its Director, Mr. Samuel Akpomeda presented an honour certificate and appointment to Amb. Mishak Nnanta as the royal father of the Institute.


The National President of Chijioke Social Club of Nigeria, Hon. Patrick Nwabueze Onwubuariri, the Board chairman and Coordinator among others were present during the event, which also featured the presentation of awards and souvenirs to the visitors by Amb. Mishak Nnanta.
