1000 Capacity Lecture Theater To Be Constructed In MOUAU, As VC Hails Milestone

The Vice-Chancellor, Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, MOUAU, Prof. Maduebibisi Ofo Iwe, has laid the foundation stone for the construction of 1000 capacity lecture theater of MOUAU Alumni Association.
Laying the foundation of the building, during the event which saw the DVC (Academic), Prof. Udo Herbert and the Registrar, Mrs. Jacinta Ogwo-Agu, the President of Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) and Director of the University’s Continuing Education Center, Prof. Emmanuel Osodeke; a former President of the Postgraduate Students’ Association, Engr. Joseph Igbo, as well as other alumni of the University, Prof. Iwe applauded the Alumni association for her contribution towards the growth of the University.
He reiterated that his administration would strive towards collaborating with the association, which he described as the bedrock of the University.
Speaking during the foundation laying ceremony, the President of the association, Dr. Oscar Igwe, stressed that the University has produced reputable people across the world, describing the ongoing project as a way of giving back to the institution that nutured them.
While pledging the association’s unalloyed support towards the growth of MOUAU, he called on the University management to lend a helping hand in the actualization of the project.
Earlier in his speech, Mr. John Ikpegbu, the immediate past President of the association, disclosed that his succession plan will leave no stone unturned in attracting notable projects to the University.
